Playgroups
We currently have two playgroups:
- Northern Virginia Area Group (Alexandria, VA based)
- Maryland Area Group (Laurel, MD based)

Do you have pre-school age children?
Do you wish there were a LAPA Playgroup in your area?
Are you willing to coordinate a LAPA pre-school age playgroup in your area?
If you answered yes to any of these questions LAPA wants you!
LAPA Playgroups have a natural life-cycle from babies just home through children just about to enter area school systems. After that cycle kids "age out" of playgroup into other LAPA activities. So playgroups are constantly forming and re-forming, needing new families to keep the LAPA connections strong!

Playgroup coordinators responsibilities:
- Plan timely outings.
- Send info about same to Webmaster and those interested in the playgroup.
- Coordinate responses.
- Contact those interested in the playgroup in case of venue or weather changes.
Time Commitment -
Approximately one hour per outing for planning and coordination. Time for the actual outing as necessary.
Past Playgroups have met on a monthly basis at various local parks, playgrounds and area venues dependent upon the season.
