MI REFUGIO

Mi Refugio is one of the organizations supported by LAPA-NCR International Relief. The program, started in 1987 by Kari Engen, provides education, food, clothing and medical assistance to the children and families living in the Guatemala City dump.

Mi Refugio offers children living in the Guatemala City dump and the surrounding area a pre-school through 6th grade education. It hopes to expand to include high school grades. Below are pictures from a recent graduation.
